What is litter?
By: Charles Adams
Litter is one of the more destructive, deadly, catastrophic things in this world. It is more deadly than a gun more destructive than a bullet, and share the devastation of a bomb. Litter, like a bomb, is dropped and destroys the ecosystem it’s in. Litter is a mercenary; silent but deadly because some people don’t know that when they miss the trash can, they can kill animals, destroy ecosystems, and devastate the environment.
We spend $11.5 billion is spent every year to clean up litter! The shocking thing is that the money could have been used in important services like housing and health care. So technically if we recycle more we have in theory lower taxes, because that money spent cleaning up litter could be used to pay the taxes.
So in conclusion if we as a people will each recycle what we can we can reduce taxes keep almost extinct animals thriving, have a better ecosystem, have fresher air (reduce the amount of people born with asthma), and most importantly save the world that many generations will live in and that we live in.
