Climate change is ignored by many people. This is because lots of people think that Climate Change is the temperature oputside getting hotter, and they don't believe in Climate Change because it is still just as cold if not colder now then it was in past winters. Actually, you can't measure climate change by a steady increase in temperature outdoors! Climate Change is actually when the temperatures, weather, and environment changes in some way drastically because of a hole in our atmosphere.. This hole has been caused by the release of green house gasses such as methane gas, car exhaust, and factory pollution, all caused by... guessed it... humans! Climate change is a serious issue, and needs to be dealt with. We can help lower our carbon footprint, also known as our damage to the atmosphere, by doing Eco-friendly things like car pooling, or not walking at all, buying products from Eco-friendly companies like 7th Generation home products, and not buying beef, which while alive as cows, produces huge amounts of methane gas. I hope this short article helps raise your awareness for what Climate Change is really about, and that it is real. Those that tell you other ways are not looking at the facts, including melting ice caps caused by global warming, an ever increasing hole in our atmosphere, and less safe air conditions.
